Become a Shelly installer

What you get

The Shelly Installer programme is free. No registration fee, no subscription, and registering takes under five minutes.

What it gives you:

• Customers find you. Your business appears on Shelly’s official installer map, searchable by area.
• Every installation from one portal. Troubleshoot, adjust scenes and service customer systems remotely, without driving out.
• Certification badges that show on your profile and tell a customer what you have been trained on.
• 10% cash-back on the Shelly devices in a completed project.
• Team management. Add colleagues and give them access to projects.
• Direct support from the Shelly team in your market.

The remote service point is the one that pays for itself fastest. A customer who calls about a schedule that fires at the wrong hour is a callout today and a five-minute fix from the workshop once the installation is in your portal.

Registering

Go to installers-portal.shelly.cloud and create an account with your company details.

That single step puts you on the installer map and gives you access to every available certification. Nothing else is required to start.

The three certifications

A three-level path, taken at your own pace inside the portal. Each course ends in a test; 80 % or more unlocks the certification immediately and updates the badge on your profile.

Bronze — the foundation

Product range, device setup, rooms and grouping, programming and automation. It is the level that turns an electrician who can wire a relay into one who can hand over a working installation.

Available now, online, self-paced.

Silver — practical work

Setup, fault-finding and the installations that come up most often. Where Bronze teaches what the devices do, Silver teaches what goes wrong.

Gold — the professional level

Complex installations, scripting and integration with other systems. For installers taking on commercial work, energy management, or anything that needs logic beyond what the app offers.

Hands-on courses in the Nordics

Silver and Gold are also run as hands-on courses in the Nordics, officially approved and delivered by the Shelly Nordic team. You work with real devices rather than screenshots — wiring, configuring, breaking and fixing.

There is no substitute for having the device in your hand when the calibration fails. It is also the quickest way to become Verified: the Nordic team verifies installers who attend, which is otherwise something you build towards over time. If you can reach one of these, take it rather than the online version.

The Installer Portal

The portal is where the programme actually lives. Beyond the courses it holds:

Customer installations. Access a customer’s Shelly setup from one place — see device status, adjust settings, and fix things without a visit. This requires the customer to grant access, which is worth agreeing at handover rather than raising later when something is broken.

Your team. Add colleagues to the company account and give them access to the projects they work on. An installer who leaves takes their login, not your customer list.

Badges and verification. Certification badges come from the courses. A separate Verified badge confirms Shelly has checked the business itself, and it is earned two ways: by building up enough customers in your portal, or through direct contact with the Shelly team.

Attending a hands-on course is the fastest route to the second. The Nordic team verifies installers who have been on one — we have met you, seen you work with the devices, and can vouch for the business. That matters, because the Verified badge is one of the two requirements for cash-back.

Top-tier status, which unlocks further benefits including devices for demonstration and testing.

10% project cash-back

Shelly pays back 10% of the price of the Shelly devices in a completed project.

To be eligible you need to be registered in the portal, hold the Verified badge, and hold at least one certification badge. Registration alone is not enough — this is one of the practical reasons to take Bronze early.

How it runs:

1. Submit the project through the Installer Portal
2. Shelly approves it, normally within five to seven working days
3. Send the project invoice after approval
4. The 10% is paid within 30 days

The project has to feature installed Shelly devices, so this rewards work that is finished and in service rather than devices bought and shelved.
