Add a Shelly To Your Wi-fi Through The App
Step 1: Include The Device In The App
Connect the phone to the same Wi-fi
Make sure the phone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-fi as the newly added shelly.
Download the Shelly Smart Control App
Add device in the app
Click on the ‘Plus’ icon in the lower right corner. Alternatively, you can also select the ‘Discovered’ tab at the top.
Click on “+ Add a New Devices”
You now have two options.
Adde device Via Bluetooth,
Or add device Via Wifi.
Wich one You choose is up to You.
If one fails try the other.
If You are adding af Gen1 Device You need to choose “Add Via Wi-fi”
Add Via Bluetooth
- Choose the device and click Next
Add Via Wi-Fi
- Choose The Wi-Fi
- If it’s the first time You need to type in the password
- Click Continue
Add Via Bluetooth
- Type in the Wi-Fi credentials.
- Tick the box if You want it to remeber the password for future devices.
- Choose if You want to disable bluetooth and Access point.
- Click on “+Add device”
Add Via Wi-Fi
- Click Yes if You want it to remeber the password for future devices.
Add Via Wi-Fi
- Choose the device You want to add.
- Tick the box if You want to disable bluetooth and Access point after inclusion.
- Click Yes.
- It Should now start to include the device.
Add Via Wi-Fi
If You get af Device failed error, you might have misstyped the password.
Try again or go with the other method here.
Add A Shelly To Your Wi-fi Through Web Interface
You are done
If You didn’t get any error You are done.
If it shows “Pending connection”
Just restart the App.
